Stereophotogrammetry: an essential tool for the digital workflow in multi-unit implant restorations.

Workshop Description:

This presentation will discuss the latest advances in digital impression systems for multiple dental implants. Several techniques, available software, and hardware will be discussed. We will emphasize the digital workflow for multi-unit implant restorations, utilizing the PIC system. In addition, we will describe the possible options for the implementation of stereophotogrammetry systems in the dental practice.

Course Objectives:

  • Reviewing the evolution of stereophotogrammetry in implant dentistry.
  • Discussing the different systems in the market, and making an evidence based assessment of their properties, costs and ease of use.
  • Discussing how are the images in the PIC system captured and how are these imported to the Exocad Software.
  • Explaining the role of the practitioner, surgeon and lab technician in the PIC digital workflow.
  • Demonstrate, through a hands on exercise, how the system works. Live experience using the system.
